Não é de hoje que artistas e programadores querem ir além de digitalizar o que fazem offline e diponibilizar on-line. Isso que chamam de browser.art é uma forma de perverter a própria forma como vemos e navegamos a web.

Browser.art is not simply the acceptance of a tech *aesthetic* (like an ASCII picture would be), but a focus on technology itself as an object. It’s not quicktime (video, but redirected to the web) and it’s not realaudio (sound, but redirected to the web). In this mini-genre of net.art, the web itself is the object.

Muitos deles estão preocupados em revelar o que está por trás (html), outros tentam isolar e re-ordenar os elementos da página, mas quase todos querem mesmo é confundir.
